Milan, July 13, 2025 – The Hero Battle Cup takes on the colors of the Italian flag. Kicking off today in Piazza Duca d’Aosta, this event celebrating urban culture hosts one of the most beloved competitions among roller sports enthusiasts: the Italian Inline Freestyle Championships.

Over 800 of the best athletes from across the country are ready to battle it out for the most coveted title: national champion in each of the freestyle disciplines.

FIRST RUNS ON TRACK AND FINAL TESTS BEFORE THE OFFICIAL START OF THE COMPETITION

Classic, Battle, Speed Slalom, Free Jump, High Jump, Roller Cross, and Slide – these are the challenges ahead for the skaters from today through July 23, in 10 non-stop days of sport, fun, and adrenaline.

Today, athletes from all categories had the opportunity to test the track. Youth, Cadet, Junior, Senior, and Master competitors gathered on the competition field for warm-ups in preparation for the first official races, which begin tomorrow.

SATISFACTION AND EMOTION: OPENING CEREMONY HIGHLIGHTS AND INSTITUTIONAL GREETINGS

After the athletes’ warm-up, the track lit up again with a one-of-a-kind performance: the skaters of Conero Roller mesmerized the audience, blending their artistry with the urban energy of the Bandits, one of Italy’s most acclaimed breakdance crews.

Right after the show, the atmosphere turned emotional during the most solemn and heartfelt moments of the ceremony.

“Take this opportunity to have fun and challenge yourselves. What matters is being here, forming bonds, friendships, and living a positive experience. Good luck to everyone!” were the words of encouragement from Marina Kullmann, Vice President of Skate Italia.

Guido de Vito then spoke, expressing his satisfaction in seeing how Piazza Duca d’Aosta has transformed into the stage and beating heart of such a major event.

Finally, Alessandro Cola, President of ASD Conero Roller and event organizer, delivered an important message encouraging solidarity, friendship, and team spirit, key values in any sport:
