COMPETITION POLICY (EN)

The competition will take place outdoors, and no alternative indoor structure is planned.
The competition surface will be made of wood and finished with Vesmaco resin (the same used at the WSG 2024).
A warm-up area with the same flooring will be available.

A SPARE DAY is scheduled to recover any rain-delayed days.
If one or more competitions cannot be completed, the most recent results will be used to compile the rankings if possible; otherwise, the event and category will be canceled.

Accreditation for the MILANO – HBC 2025 QUALIFICATIONS will be possible only on Wednesday, July 2nd.
Without accreditation, participation in the competition will not be allowed.

Accreditation for the MILANO – HBC 2025 FINALS will be possible only on Tuesday, July 8th.
Without accreditation, participation in the competition will not be allowed.

A group of hotels and apartments will be available, all in the same area. Hotels will be used for accreditation, press conferences, meetings, etc.
The list with booking options and discounts will be sent soon.
It is strongly recommended to wait for the publication of partner hotels and apartments to stay in the same accommodations.
Costs will start from €40-50 per person/per night.

A dedicated phone number will be provided for travel and hospitality arrangements with free tickets, special offers, and bonuses.

An hospitality area and a grandstand for spectators will be available.
Access to these areas will be reserved, tickets will be daily and purchasable only online through a dedicated platform.

A free area for everyone to watch the competition will be guaranteed.

All athletes may cancel without penalty until May 1st (no refund).
After May 1st, a €50 penalty will apply.
A €100 penalty will be applied for no-shows at accreditation.
A €50 penalty will be applied for no-shows in a single discipline.
Any exceptions will be evaluated by the organization upon submission of a medical certificate.

REGISTRATION RULES

• MILANO-HBC QUALIFICATIONS: Open to all athletes with no limits per country.
The competition will have a 2-star classification.
Registrations open from February 1, 2025.

The registration fee is €40 per discipline.

The top two classified athletes in each discipline and category will qualify for the MILANO – HBC 2025 FINALS.
If the top two refuse to participate or are already qualified for the finals, the ranking will move down to fill the two available spots for each discipline and category.

✅ CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION:
Registration is automatically confirmed at the end of the process, subject to availability.
If full, athletes will be placed on a waiting list.

Being on the waiting list does NOT mean registration.
Participation is only possible if a slot frees up and official confirmation is received from the organization.
Without confirmation, participation is not allowed.

• MILANO-HBC FINALS: Registration is limited.
Requests must be approved by the organization.
The competition will have a 3-star classification.
Registration requests will be accepted from February 1 to February 28 and can be submitted by the following athlete categories:

• WSG 2024 Podium finishers

• Top 10 of the World Ranking as of January 2025 (Top 15 for Classic and Speed disciplines)

• The top 2 classified at the MILANO – HBC 2025 QUALIFICATIONS will automatically qualify for the MILANO – HBC 2025 FINALS.

Example: In the Battle JW category, 8 spots are available, selected as:

• The top 3 from the WSG 2024 ranking

• The top 2 from the QUALIFICATIONS ranking

• The top 3 from the World Skate ranking

If the top 3 WSG 2024 ranked athletes do not confirm, additional slots will be taken from the World Skate ranking.

Confirmation and registration timeline:

• March 7: Participation requirements verified and confirmed for applicants. Participants selected based on the January ranking.

• March 8 – March 30: If slots remain, the TOP 50 of the February world ranking may apply.

• April 7: Final verification of participation requirements and addition of remaining slots based on February ranking.

• April 7: All slots assigned, except 2 reserved for the top 2 of each category and discipline coming from the MILANO – HBC 2025 QUALIFICATIONS.

Participation fee and further info:

Athletes qualifying through MILANO – HBC 2025 QUALIFICATIONS will not pay a participation fee.

Qualified athletes may be called to participate in the FINALS if one or more registered athletes do not show.

The registration fee for the FINALS is €50 per discipline.

The organization will provide mandatory competition apparel (except for Classic discipline). Space will be reserved for personal sponsors.

Registration is not complete until confirmed by the organization.
