PRESS RELEASE – HERO BATTLE CUP 2025: QUALIFYING ROUND CONCLUDED, NOW IT’S TIME FOR THE WORLD FINALS
Huge turnout and top-level performances in Milan: the HBC World Cup 2025 qualifiers are over, and the spotlight is now on the international finals
Milan, July 6, 2025 – From July 3rd to 7th, Milan was the beating heart of the global inline freestyle scene. Over five thrilling days, the qualification rounds of the HBC World Cup took place—one of the most anticipated events on the international World Skate calendar.
Piazza Duca d’Aosta welcomed hundreds of athletes and spectators from around the world, delivering excitement, adrenaline, and spectacular moments across all disciplines. Each day saw new talents emerge, ready to return to the track for the Finals.
QUALIFICATION RESULTS
From July 3rd to 7th, the open-air arena in Piazza Duca d’Aosta hosted the best international inline freestyle athletes competing in the qualification stages.
SLIDE
The Hero Battle Cup kicked off with the thrilling Slide discipline: Matilde Terenzi dominated the women’s field, while Eric Canizares Sola (Spain) triumphed among the men with a precise and powerful run.
JUMP
Jump was a true aerial show, with Ludovica Rimondi and Daniele Cuccovillo standing out for their technique and power, taking first place in the women’s and men’s categories, respectively.
PAIR
Teamwork and creativity were the highlights in Pair, with Nexia Gualdi and Valerio Degli Agostini dazzling both the audience and judges to take the top spot, ahead of Nikole Moretti and Lorenzo Demuru.
SPEED SLALOM
In Speed Slalom, all eyes were on Manuel Moretti, who took first place in Junior Men, and Alvaro Nieto Merino, winner in Senior Men.
Among the women, strong performances came from Kimia Karimi Hassanabadi and Valentina Cacciatore in Junior, and Marie Lecomte and Adriana Nieto Merino in Senior.
CLASSIC
Classic was a showcase of artistic expression and technical brilliance, with stunning choreographies thrilling the audience.
Among Junior Women, Nikole Moretti shone brightest, followed by Nexia Gualdi and Rebecca Pirani.
In Senior Women, Alexandra-Mihaela Muntean topped the podium, ahead of Justyna Teczar and Vittoria Munari.
Daniele Salzillo and Manuel Moretti took first and second in Junior Men, followed by Aaryesh Honrao (India).
Senior Men was an all-Italian podium: Lorenzo Demuru, Davide Picca, and Valerio Degli Agostini.
BATTLE
Technique, creativity, and rhythm came together in the most “freestyle” discipline of the event: Battle.
In Junior Women, Nexia Gualdi stole the spotlight with confidence and style. Siri Vinay Bandakka and Valeria Kobrynska also qualified.
Manuel Moretti continued his incredible week by winning Junior Men Battle, after his Classic podium and Speed Slalom victory, ahead of Daniele Salzillo and Aaryesh Honrao.
In Senior Women, Justyna Teczar claimed victory, proving to be one of the most complete athletes of the competition. Alexandra-Mihaela Muntean also qualified for the final.
The day closed with the Senior Men category, where Lorenzo Demuru capped off a spectacular week with yet another victory. Davide Picca and Carlos Nelson Caro also advanced to the finals.
NOW IT GETS SERIOUS: THE INTERNATIONAL FINALS BEGIN
Anticipation is high for the finals, taking place from July 9th to 12th.
This unmissable event will bring together the top athletes from the qualifiers along with the highest-ranked skaters from around the world.
Over 800 athletes from 25 nations — including China, India, Korea, Spain, France, Poland, Taiwan, Iran, Chile, and Ukraine — will compete across every inline freestyle discipline: from Classic to Battle, Speed Slalom, Slide, and Jump — a thrilling mix of technique, music, and spectacle.
With 9 hours of live coverage on Sky Sport Arena, the event will reach millions of viewers, offering prime exposure for urban skating. Live streaming will also be available on World Skate TV, ensuring global online access.

Then, from July 13th to 23rd, Milan will host the Italian Inline Freestyle Championships, officially closing this extraordinary month of urban skating.
